Theology of the Body

The “Theology of the Body” is the name given to Blessed John Paul II’s awe-inspiring teaching about the human body, human sexuality, human relationships and the nature of marriage and celibacy and what they reveal about God.  Comprised of 129 Wednesday audiences given between 1979 and 1984, these teachings have been described as “one of the boldest reconfigurations of Catholic theology in centuries”. If embraced, the Theology of the Body has the potential to utterly transform contemporary culture and to establish a culture of life and a civilization of love.
